How the death of a dying star occurs and the beauty it holds till its very last breath.

What is Supernova!??

A supernova is the bright explosion of a dying star; these explosions emits soo much energy than it can actually outshine galaxies!! Imagine a source suddenly bursting, unleashing a powerful rupture of light through the cosmos. Fun Fact: The explosion of a star can emit more energy than our Sun in its entire lifetime!! But really…what causes a star to burst with such force?? Simple: the loss of nuclear fuel in the core. Stars, at least those 5 times the mass of our Sun, run out of nuclear fuel in their cores, which causes them to collapse under the weight of gravity, blasting their outer layers throughout space. This leaves behind an incredibly dense object, such as a neutron star or a black hole. Supernovas are not only beautiful but are super important for the chemical makeup of the universe; heavy metals such as oxygen, carbon, and iron are forged inside the star for billions of years shoot through across space. These elements then are responsible for making new planets, stars, and even building new life. By the time you finish reading this article, more than 60 stars have burst somewhere in the Milky Way. According to NASA, every second or so, a supernova takes place, which is something that would never fail to amaze me. When these magical things explode, they shoot matter into space with an average speed of 9000 to 25000 miles ( 15000 to 40000 kilometers per second). On average, a supernova will occur about once every 50 years in a galaxy the size of the Milky Way. This whole thing reminds me of hidden emotions…how if they are kept till the last moment, and the beauty they hold even while releasing.
