Onions Or Students!???

Being in delhi, I can't participate in the protest currently happening at Jantar Mantar but I can do one thing to be a part of it. WRITE .

For those of you who are not following the news this week, Sir Sonam Wangchuk is an Indian engineer [7][8], activist, innovator, education reformer, and environmentalist.^[10] He is the founding director of the Students' Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh (SECMOL), which was founded in 1988 by a group of students who had been, in his own words, the 'victims' of an alien education system foisted on Ladakh. So, in simple words, he is a legend, an inspiration, and a soul so determined to change the reality of India that he protested. He protested for those souls we have already lost to this system. 20 Students, that is not a small number, 20 souls lost to a leak. 20 souls who we failed to help, 20 souls who thought that death was better than a paper. What gives us the idea that our country isn’t corrupt!?? It is BEYOND saving. In an attempt to save other souls from dying untimely, Mr. Wangchuk began to fast as a protest at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. He did this to support CJP ( Cockroach Janta Party), which is a student-led movement demanding accountability and educational reforms following the massive NEET-UG 2026 examination paper leak controversy.

Thus began the ultimate move of “The Hunger Strike”; seeing him and other students participate in this movement made the country realise something. This is wrong!! This is not the first time. This is not supposed to happen. And it also made the government realise that people are not going to be silenced now, they will not stay quiet to our dictatorship, they will not!! What began on 28 June spread across the nation and touched the hearts of millions. But coming from today, something very dark has happened, which led me to write this article. 18 July, 2026, the protesters at Jantar Mantar woke to the commotion of police officers in civilian uniform, abducting Sonam Wangchuk sir. And yes, I will say abduct because that is what they did, a 60-year-old man quietly protesting while they snatched him forcefully, dropped him on bedsheets, yes, bedsheets, and took him away in an ambulance with the door open. There was no stretcher, no respect, and no safety. They didn't talk, they didn’t warn, they abducted. That is what happens if you raise your voice in this country: you get abducted, you get silenced. But no, the youth knows better than silence; this is not the 1900s; this is 2026. We have a voice, we have questions that need answers, we dare to speak and answer, unlike some. As a student myself in this country, I have seen many protests, but never became a part of them, but now I will. I can’t be present physically but will continue to write as a voice on the internet. And please, to all the people reading this, be one too. Each person matters. Please be a part in any way you can be, we need to change things, and that will happen now.
